Type Locality and Naming
The type section is located in the vicinity of the Kaixinling Coal Mine, Zhiduo County, Qinghai Province. It was named by the 2nd Regional Geological Survey Party under the Qinghai Geological Bureau in 1982-1983. Lower unit of the Wuli Gr.
Lithology and Thickness
Clastics. Sandy shale, siltstone, limestone and coal seams. Thickness is over 283.7 m.
